About Us








1.  Opening of PSD Nashik:-

The Postal Stores Depot, Nashik is established on 08.09.1958. It is one of biggest PSD out of 5 PSDs in India vide Rule 292 of Postal Manual Vol. II. It is located at Upnagar, Nashik-6 just at a walk able distance of about 5 minutes from Upnagar Bus Stop. Upnagar Bus Stop is situated on Nashik-Pune National Highway No. 50. It is at a distance of 5 Km from Central Bus Stand, Nashik and 4 Km from Nashik Road Railway Station.

An independent Recruiting Unit :-

PSD Nashik is an independent recruiting unit as per Dte. New Delhi No. 63-26/64-SPB-I dated 18.05.1966 circulated by C.O. Mumbai vide No. EsttA/RA-7/50/5 dated 04.06.1966.The staff of this depot is not borne on gradation list of the neighbouring Postal Division i.e. Nashik Division but is borne on a separate gradation list of PSD Nashik and they are eligible for promotion to posts in the Postal Stores Depot, Nashik only.


3.   Functioning of Postal Stores Depot, Nashik :-

The following 7 sections are functioning in this depot.

The main function of Postal Stores Depot, Nashik is to procure and supply ‘A’ categories of Postal forms to following 11 PSDs and also procure and supply ‘A,B,C categories of forms, MPCM stickers, SP/Regd/EPP Barcode stickers & Bag labels, articles of stock and stationery to 894 HOs/SOs in Aurangabad and Pune Region.





[I] Regional Forms Depot- This PSD functions as Regional Forms Depot, which is procuring and printing and supplying A categories of forms from GIP Nashik to the following 11 PSDs located in four states

Maharashtra

-1. PSD Nashik 2.PSD Mumbai 3.PSD Kolhapur 4.PSD Nagpur.


Gujarath

- 5.PSD Ahmedabad 6.PSD Vadodara 7.PSD Rajkot.




Karnataka

- 8. PSD Bangalore 9.PSD Hubli 10. PSD Arsikeri





Madhya Pradesh

-11.PSD Bhopal.

The stock of Accountable and unaccountable forms and all types of Barcode stickers and Speed post/Regd Bag labels and MPCM Stickers are neatly arranged in respective section. Tally cards showing the up to date stock position are exhibited.

[III] Stores Section:- This section deals with procurement, stocking and supply Of uniforms, stores and stationery to all Indenting units of Aurangabad Region and Pune Region. The procurement of Uniforms and stores items is done at Regional level, which decentralized as per orders of Circle Office, Mumbai. The stationery items are being procured from the Controller Stationery Office, Kolkatta/Mumbai. The Stores and Stationery items, which are not being supplied by Stationery Office Kolkatta/Mumbai, are being procured on DG S&D Rate contract or through tenders on receipt of NOC from Stationery Office, Kolkatta as per approval from Hon.PMG Aurangabad. The stock of stores and stationery items are neatly arranged in section. Tally cards showing the up to date stock position are exhibited.


[IV] Local Printing Section- This section deals with local printing of ‘A’ categories of forms which are not accepted by Govt.of India as well as ‘B &C’ categories of forms. The forms are being procured through printers by inviting tenders as per approval from Hon.PMG Aurangabad. The quantities of printing of forms are based on the forecast requirement submitted by RFS Section.

[V]  Mails  and  publication  section- This  section  deals  with dispatch of  Regd bags/Regd Parcel bags and packet bags containing supply of forms/Barcode stickers/stores & stationery to the indenting units in Aurangabad Region and Pune Region. The average closing of bags is 160-180, but as per instructions from SRO Nashik Road RMS, this depot is dispatching only 125 bags daily. Besides the work of dispatch of mails, this branch also deals with dispatch of saleable items of MO-8 , RP-54 Regd

Acknowledgement bundles and B.S.wax as per requirement of indenting units.

[VI] Accounts Section-       This section deals with the accounts matter of this depot.








[VII] Administration Section- This section deals with the administrative work of this depot.

5. Revision case of PSD Nashik :-

The establishment review is being carried out after every 3 years as per R.O. Aurangabad letter No. AR/Estt/PSD Nashik/2011 dated 14/03/2011. 7.      Computerization of PSD Nashik -Computerized all Sections of Regional Forms Depot, Retail Form Section, Stores and Local Printing Sections with ‘vastu prabandhan’ software with networking on LAN. Similarly, the Accounts branch is also computerized with Meghdoot Accounts software. PLI schedule is updated with PBS software through Nashik Road HO.At present, 12 Computer nodes with printers are provided to all Sections as per their requirements.

9.       Maintenance of departmental building of PSD Nashik- The Administrative Block and 4 Godowns were constructed in the year of 1983. There is no maintenance especially in Godowns since their construction. This depot has taken up the case for maintenance of Administrative block and 4 Godowns with RO Aurangabad and requested to undertake the civil and electrical works through Postal Civil Wing under this office letter No.FSN/GC-2/MG-87/Mtce/99 dtd.24.01.2011, 24.02.2011, 17.08.2011 and 30.05.2012. The details of civil and electrical works which are urgently required in the departmental building of this depot are shown as below:-

Priority items reported to RO Aurangabad on 17-08-2011 for the year 2011-12:-

1.             Flooring in the Varanda as well as in new godowns.

2.             Replacement of Sanitary pipe of Administrative Block and Stores Section due to frequent blockage of sanitary pipe line and repairing of internal drainage pipe line located in the
godowns.

3. The Electrical Re-wiring in the old Godown/New Godowns/Administrative Block is of 1980 and 1983. The wirings are too old.

4.            Provision of Ladies tiffin / changing room.

5.            Barbed wire to compound wall.

6.            Colouring/White Wash inside/outside of Administrative Block and Godowns.

7.            Falls ceiling in the new godowns at (i) office of Asstt. Manager, Regional Forms Depot & (ii) office of Asstt. Manager, Retail Forms Supply Section. Also, falls ceiling in the old godown (Stores Section) with aluminum Glass partition.

Priority items reported to RO Aurangabad on 30-05-2012 for the year 2012-13:-

1.            Repairing of water tank located Bag Washing Plant of PSD Nashik.

2.            Plastering to the slabs of godowns of Retail Forms Supply Section / Regional Forms Depot Section, PSD Nashik.
3.            Cement concreting of Varanda of godowns of Retail Forms Supply Section / Regional Forms Depot Section, PSD Nashik.
4.            Replacement of Gents old Urinal pots by new one.


(I) Other Civil Work :-

1.            Removal of leakages in New Godowns.

(II) Electrical Work: -

1.            Most of the switches/boards are damaged.

2.            The Fans are very old type and not working which require to be replaced since they are beyond repairable.

The above Civil / Electrical work items are already taken in the priority list submitted to RO Aurangabad vide this office letter No. FSN/GC-2/MG/87/MTCE/99 dated 17.08.2011 and 30.05.2012.






10.    Delegation of Financial Powers :-

[I]    Full powers to SP PSD Nashik for sanctioning bills of Govt. of India Presses as per orders of DTE.

[II] Powers of Rs. 1 Lakh to Hon’ble PMG Aurangabad for purchase on LPC.

[III] Full powers to Hon’ble PMG Aurangabad for sanctioning bills of Printers in which tenders are issued.
